Codes, zoning, approvals, site conditions and costs vary by location and change over time. Please do not rely on general content for a decision about a particular property. Visiting this site, reading its content, sending a form, registering for an event, or exchanging emails with us does not create an architect-client relationship, a design-build agreement, or any duty to provide services. Attending an event is not a Defining Place Session and does not create a professional relationship. Please do not record or redistribute an event unless we have agreed to it.
You may download and read the Defining Place Guide and keep a copy for your own personal use. Please do not alter it, remove its notices, or republish or sell it without our written permission. You are welcome to share a link to it.
